Growers, retailers, NGOs, Brazilian, North American, Europeans... All were together today (and still tomorow) presenting different point of view about the principles and criteria to produce a responsible soy - from Brazil to India.
Jason Clay presented trends for a planet that will need to feed 9 billion by 2050 and today is already using 55% of arable land for crop and cattle.
The consumption will increase 2,8 times but, we can't double the area today used to produce food. Produce more with less certainly is a must. But also there's a point still under discussion: How to integrate the externalities?... Only thinking together all different sectors... Opportunity!
