Participants of the 1st Photography Workshop in the Bahia Cerrado have their photographs released in the publication blog, edited by photographer Adriano Gambarini
Barreiras, May 27, 2010 – The result of the work produced during the 1st Photography Workshop of the Bahia Cerrado - organized through a partnership among Conservation International, Bioeste Institute, and Monsanto – was published in National Geographic, in the blog of photographer Adriano Gambarini, responsible for the course. Under the title “A Recreation of the Look Over Western Bahia: a workshop”, Adriano Gambarini displays a collection of several natural scenes, but which bring in their spirit the passion for the Cerrado. “People from Bahia and Rio Grande do Sul, Pará and São Paulo, inhabitants of heart, body and soul reunited in a fun journey seeking for the recreation of the look”, he points out.
The Workshop, held from April 29 thru May 2, had the participation of 20 partakers, who ran along around 900 kilometers, across the municipalities of Barreiras, São Desidério, Luis Eduardo Magalhães, Santa Rita de Cássia and Formosa do Rio Preto. The team registered the beauties and the threat of the Cerrado, as well as the daily lives of traditional communities.
Now the entire work will be displayed in a photograph exhibit “The Recreation of the Look over western Bahia”, which will visit five cities in the region, starting in Barreiras, as of July 28, to finally disembark in Salvador, Camaçari, and São Paulo.
